In these days I have been busy organizing the workshop named 'Unexpected Convergence'. Of course I am also the interpreter as usual, I can use English more freely and our professor is George Teodorescu from Germany, a kind and diligent professor who has gained the students' respects in the first day.

This morning I met my colleague Prof. Zhou, he told me he just came back from Yixing city, the cradle of the Chinese dark-red pottery teapot. The nowadays teapot crafts made him heavyhearted. The quality in whatever taste or craftsmanship is declining. Innovation is hard, therefore most teapots only imitate the acient forms. We talked about the changing of the whole social and cultural context. If this old tradition could not been inherited and developped well, it would be a big loss. 

我年少时的家，窄小而拥挤，

有一扇通往卧房的门框，

记录着我与弟弟成长的足迹，

那是我的父亲，以门框为尺，

时常测量一双儿女的身高，

然后用铅笔拉出一条横线，
